What to expect:

The CGC test is a great test to prove the docile and agreeable nature of your dog. It gives the handler and dog a great training goal to work towards. While in the process of working towards that common goal in our 6 week program, these classes give lots of bonding/trust building opportunities, and builds on essential skills that (in our opinion) every dog should be proficient in if you plan to include your dog in your daily activities out in public. The CGC test consist of 10 test items that your dog must pass in order to receive your certificate at week 6. The CGC test evaluates dogs on the following: -Greets a friendly stranger -Sits politely for petting -Welcomes being groomed, brushed; allows paws and ears to be handled -Walks as directed on a loose leash -Moves politely through a crowd -Sits, lies down, and stays in place on command -Comes when called -Behaves politely around other dogs -Reacts with confidence to distractions -Can be left with a trusted person We would love to have you and your dog join us for our next 6 week program offering! Message us for availability and dates. Our 6 week preparedness program is $300 total and includes the CGC test (and ribbon if you pass) on the final week. If you believe you and your dog have suffiecient training to pass the CGC test without completing this 6 week program, shoot us a message on our contact form and we can talk about meeting up for a short session to do the test only. Our cost for this is $75.
